It's a ... [continued]

*If you don't know the sex of the baby yet, read yesterday's post first! Also, pics / video below*

So as you might have noticed, we discovered at our first "official" ultrasound that our first child will be a girl and we can now refer to her as something other than just "it", "the baby", "he/she", etc - making it all the more 'real' for lack of a better word. I could tell pretty much right away that it wasn't a boy as she was moving around quite a bit (thanks to Sissy for her OJ + sugar tip) and we had some good views, however I don't think Stacey realized til the ultrasound was almost over and the attendant informed us for certain. Stace and I both thought from the start it was a girl, don't ask me why, but maybe because we had both agreed upon a girls name I had come up with 3-4 years ago in Vegas, so we just assumed that's what it would be - plus, we hadn't really solidified a boys name yet. However over the course of waiting to find out the sex, almost everyone who wanted to give us their opinion on what they thought the baby would be, kept telling us it was a boy, boy, boy, so I kind-of had it in my head going into yesterday, expecting it would be a boy. Alas, it was not, and we are happy to now know we'll be having a girl! Not much else to report besides everything else checked out well and mother to be is in good health. We can now turn our attention to nursery construction and purchasing all of that fun stuff as we await Grace's arrival. I'll try and get Stacey to post some details on the baby shower(s) soon so ya'll can save the date if you were planning to attend. Until then...
